Brandi Bassett graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Music from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009. There she studied piano and piano pedagogy, voice, music history and theory, and choral music. Brandi has been teaching piano for over 15 years. Her experience includes work as an accompanist, choral conductor, elementary music teacher, teacher of preschool music, and recent service on the EMTA board of directors. Brandi works with learners of all ages and abilities. Her teaching philosophy stems from a belief that each of us has an innate desire and capacity to create and enjoy music- a knowledgeable and compatible teacher can help you do so. Shih-Yi Kuan graduated from a teachers college in Taiwan with majors in voice and piano. While teaching music in a public school for six years, her award-winning children’s choirs toured Korea and Japan. Shih-Yi graduated, with distinction, from a conservatory in Austria, with diplomas in Lieder and Oratorio and in Opera Performance. At the famous Meistersinger Competition in Graz, Austria, Shih-Yi was awarded the Audience Prize (first place) and received third place from the jury. She has been teaching voice and piano near Mill Creek since 1996. Shih-Yi believes in providing sound classical training as a foundation, but wants her students to develop a real love of music. A number of her students have performed in state-wide honor recitals and been accepted as voice majors at universities.”

I have been a member of Edmonds Music Teachers Association for 23 years and am a past president of EMTA. I am married and have 3 sons and 3 lovely daughters-in-law. I am also a grandmother of 3 precious little ones. I teach in Bothell and the surrounding areas. My joy is in teaching the beginner students. The biggest desire I have is to instill the love I have for music, whether it be at the piano, or by singing or by another instrument. It doesn’t matter what the instrument of music is … music touches everyone’s hearts, crosses cultural boundaries and speaks when words are not adequate. Besides my piano studio, I am worship leader and choir director of adults and children at my church. My life is enriched by all my musical activities!

Dee Sales graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Music in voice and piano, and has 40 years combined performing and teaching experience in piano, voice and organ. Her training included emphasis in instrumental (piano and organ), vocal technique and performance, and theory. At Dee’s Music Room, both online and in person, she teaches private and group piano, voice, classroom music (especially preschool) and theory. She has designed music programs for private preschools, elementary schools, and middle schools. Dee is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children( NAEYC) NAfME (National Association for Music Educators), a Guild Member of the National Piano-Playing Auditions, and a Certified Royal Conservatory Teacher.

My name is Tamara Wagle. I am a professional piano teacher with twenty years of experience of teaching music and I provide private lessons in piano and music theory for students of all ages. I enjoy teaching music and am excited to share my knowledge and technical skills with others. I give a special importance for achieving a beautiful quality of tone, and I focus on mechanical skills along with artistic skills in order to teach the student not only how to play, but how to play well. Also, I help my students to learn how to understand and interpret music, so they can continue playing piano on their own, after they stopped taking music lessons.
Originally I am from Ukraine; however I have spent half of my life living in Kathmandu, Nepal. I studied music and have played six different instruments, the prominent one being the piano. I have degree in Piano Teaching from the Ukrainian Music State College in L’viv, and bachelor’s degree in Music from Kathmandu University of Nepal. Many of my students got international certificates in Piano performance and in Music theory in various grades of Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (London), and Trinity College London. I am an active member of the Music Teachers National Association and the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
