NEW State Recital Competition Rules for 2025
Participants in this competition should not enter unless they are able to perform at the WSMTA convention if named as a Winner. Participants should also be available to perform at the District 1 Honors Recital if they are named as an Alternate.
WSMTA Convention dates: June 28-30, 2025
WSMTA Convention venue: Lower Columbia College ∙ Longview ∙ WA
District 1 Honors Recital date: April 27, 2025 at 2:00 pm
District 1 Honors Recital venue: Everett, WA
Alternates are selected in case a competition Winner is unable to perform due to an emergency such as illness, injury, or a death in their family. In this case, the Winner must notify their teacher of the conflict as soon as possible. The teacher will contact the event chair, to arrange for the Alternate to step in. The original Winner and Alternate will then share the title of Winner in this event.
The EMTA State Recital webpage has been updated for 2025 and the registration form is now open as well.
