We’re looking forward to a successful Music Artistry Program! Our enrollment is robust and vibrant – one of the largest programs in the state. As such, we have earned four(!) slots for the State Recitals (june 27-29) and District Recital (April 26) – yay, EMTA!
We have over 25 teachers participating across five venues with six Visiting Artists.
URGENT – You will be sent your schedule by tomorrow noon or sooner. Please write to the MAP team (jensina_b@yahoo.com, apianist88@mac.come, and mrs.vera.borodina@gmail.com) to confirm that you have received your MAP schedule and assignment.
Please know that we rely on teachers to help make the experience run smoothly for all.
Each venue day will have a “venue team” – some teams will be just one person (Shih-Yi on Friday, Laurie on Sunday) – and some venues/days have up to 5 or 6 people.
You will be given an email with some assignments (like morning snack, sparkling water, easy fruit, almonds, chocolate bar, bring a salad lunch) – that sort of thing – please help us with those items.
If you are first day/ first teacher for a venue, you need to handle the orientation (I’ll give a checklist of things to do per venue) – and you need to make sure you’re there before the Visiting Artist. 🙂 All people first in day on any day need to arrive early to set up. Those who are last on final day need to cover closing conference and clean up. I’ll send details.
Final housekeeping – if you happen to have a space heater, we could use a few that weekend. Please let me or Deb know.
If you have a “supply box” – please organize with Vera – each box should have some signage, mints (purchase some if empty), sharp pencils, a couple of pens, for sure a black ink pen “very fine tip” black sharpie for their signature on certificates, and maybe some paperclips. Vera is helping with boxes and we need one at each venue. (Except the Samantha Yeung studio – she has everything already.)
(Boxes needed at Lighthammer, EUUC, Prince of Peace, and Hartley)
First person at each venue needs the boxes for the start of the session.
Certificates will be at the meeting on Tuesday, Feb 10th. It’s your responsibility to figure out how to get your certificates. If you do not pick up on Feb 10th, they will be in the box on the day of the event.
Thank you and let us know if you have any questions.
