Dear EMTA Event Chairs,

Just a quick reminder about an important step in supporting composers: submitting digital copies of your event programs to MTNA. This helps ensure that composers are paid for their work. If you haven’t done so yet, please add this to your event planning checklist.

You can send a digital copy of your program (or an Excel file) to MTNA.

MTNA has a special licensing agreement with the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), allowing us to publicly perform copyrighted music across the organization, as long as the composer is an ASCAP member.

By sending your event programs, you’re helping ASCAP composers get the recognition they deserve. No attendance figures are required—MTNA will take care of submitting the report, licensing fees, and programs to ASCAP.
