We are looking forward to a great WSMTA Music Artistry Program in March 2025!
MAPwill take place on Friday afternoon, March 6th, through Sunday, March 8th.
Registrations are due by Jan 14th.
TIME BLOCKS:
Ten minute time slots should be reserved for beginner students – ones who have taken for around a year or less. This is a generalized guideline – there are exceptions to this, for example in terms of attention span, etc., but this is a good general guideline.
Fifteen minute time slots are great for later elementary students and early intermediate.
Intermediate and late intermediate students should take 15-20 min time slots, depending on length and complexity of their repertoire.
Early advanced and advanced students should always take 20 or 30 min time slots, and then time slot should always be 2-3 times their repertoire lenghth.
VISITING ARTISTS:
Our slate of guest artists for 2025 is strong!
Dr. Ross Salvosa from Central Washington University,
Dr. Roger McVey from University of Idaho,
Dr. Yoon-Wha Roh from Washington State University,
and Dr. Lark Powers, from Pacific Lutheran University.
Please consider locking in a Friday afternoon time slot. We need volunteers to sign up for Friday afternoon so that we can manage our four venues and four VAs efficiently.
We currently need to fill around 18 hours of scheduling on Fridays – we have 12 hours set and need about 6 more hours of students for Friday afternoon, March 6th.
This can be highly beneficial for you. You can have the date set NOW – and have families know NOW when their MAP will be – and you can have your weekend free!
Please contact Jensina Oliver @ jensina_b@yahoo.com to secure your Friday date. Our current Friday openings are midday in Shoreline at Prince of Peace and afternoon/early evening in Mukilteo at Lighthammer Piano.
VENUES:
Our venues this year are:
1) Lighthammer Piano – Friday through Sunday.
2) Edgewood Baptist Church – Friday/Sat
3) Prince of Peace Lutheran – Friday/Sat
4) Studio of Marie Wollam-Mergler – Sun
5) Hartley Mansion – Sat/Sun
Looking forward to a great Music Artistry Program in 2025!
