Dear EMTA Teachers,

Last spring, the EMTA board approved the offering of event fee waivers for students whose
families are experiencing financial hardship. This program is designed to support students who
typically receive scholarships or reduced lesson tuition from their teachers.

If you have a student who qualifies for this assistance, please contact the event chair with the
student’s name and any necessary information before the registration deadline. Event chairs,
after your festival, please send a list of students who received fee waivers to me, Laurie
McFarland and Dawn Taylor May so we can keep track of the numbers.
