The Edmonds Music Teacher Association was well represented at the 2024 Washington Music Teacher Association Conference. Attendees from EMTA in the photo from left to right were: Keva Vaughn-McMorrow, Dr. Jensina Oliver, Marilyn Droz, EMTA President Angela Michael, Mary Walker-Lieberman, and Cathy Baylor. EMTA member Frances Goei also attended this conference.

The well-received featured artist from the concert was Native American pianist, Conner Chee. There is still a chance to hear the Conference Guest Artist as he will be playing a concert in the Puget Sound area on Sunday, July 7 at 3 pm at Lakewold Gardens in Lakewood. Conner will be performing a solo piano program of his own compositions as part of Lakewold’s Music from Home concert series.
The venue is intimate and has a house concert feel to it. It is surrounded by 10 acres of beautiful gardens. A beverage and sweet treat are included in the ticket price. Lakewold is also offering a limited number of tickets with a 20% discount for WSMTA members and their students. Contact your teacher for the ticket discount code.
