The Piano and Voice Music Artistry Programs were tremendously successful this year!

The WSMTA Music Artistry Program for piano was held in the Edmonds Music Teacher Association this past weekend. The Music Artistry Program of WSMTA is a self-supporting annual event developed for students to encourage interest in music and to maintain standards of fine musicianship. The program encourages students to prepare two memorized pieces in a non-competitive format to be assessed by professional visiting artists. The visiting artists are experienced teachers with advanced training and many serve on college faculties around the Northwest.

Here’s the breakdown:

2024 Piano Music Artistry Program

• 25 teachers
• 208 students
• 4100 minutes
• 4 visiting artists
• 5 venues
  Total: 10 individual days over the weekend

2024 Voice Music Artistry Program

• 2 teachers
• 11 students
• 240 minutes
• 1 visiting artist
• 1 venue
• 1 day
